Details :
This is a classic Sheykh Safi design from Tabriz, inspired by the famous Safavid-era carpets. It features an intricate central medallion surrounded by dense floral and arabesque motifs, woven with exceptional precision. The composition is balanced and refined, with flowing vine work and detailed palmettes that are characteristic of high-quality Tabriz weaving.
The colour palette is rich and elegant, with warm rust and terracotta tones in the field, contrasted by ivory, navy, olive, and subtle accents of blue and gold. The fine drawing and clarity of the pattern point to a skilled workshop rather than a village weave.
Hand-knotted in 100% wool, the rug has a relatively fine, even pile, typical of Tabriz carpets.
