Details :
This is a classic Mashad rug from northeastern Iran, known for its bold scale and traditional Persian composition. The rug features a strong central medallion set within a richly decorated field of floral motifs and flowing vine work, typical of Mashad weaving.
The colour palette is deep and traditional, led by a rich red field with navy blue, ivory, and soft turquoise accents. There is natural abrash in some areas, caused by variations in dye lots during weaving. This is a normal and valued characteristic of hand-knotted rugs and not a sign of wear.
Hand-knotted in 100% wool, the rug has a medium, even pile with a solid and durable feel. It shows no wear, with the structure fully intact and the design crisp throughout.
